Ability to add Contextual navigation links to Dashboard Contents/Symbols

It is possible to navigate Dashboards using Navigation tree/bar in Experience, but users would like to be able to navigate between Dashboards when the navigation tree/bar is not present. The requested feature is similar to Contextual navigation links in PI Vision, which enables the user to navigate to another dashboard and set context.

Currently, only Text symbol in CONNECT Visualization (CVS) allows hyperlinks and it doesn't have the following:

  • Ability to set context based on current Asset

  • Options to open the link in current tab or a new tab

From documentation, the PI Vision displays migrated to CVS don't support navigation links as well.

Please consider enhancing the navigation link feature in the future.


Current Workaround

If only need a navigation link to open another display, the workaround is to place a transparent Text symbol over any other symbols/contents as below. However, if user wants to set context with the link or open the link in the same tab, it is not possible at the moment.

  • Attach files
